Born with a chip on his shoulder, and cursed with a star-mark on his eye, Sibon was driven out from his superstitious tribe after receiving a mysterious blessing from an unknown entity. After evading their pursuit for nearly a decade, along with his raven companion, Sibon arrived in the city of Najima in order to have the powerful Sage remove the mark that ruined his life. It was there that he met Rophi, a tiefling with a sharp tongue and sharper blade, who would later become his wife.

The Sage did not remove the mark; instead, he slowly attempted to 'eat' the party's life force over the course of their extended apprenticeship. Rophi ultimately struck the corrupted Elemental down and disappeared, and Sibon inherited the Sage's soul and power. He returned to his old tribe as the Phoenix and decimated the people that still pursued him, along with the god that led them to the hunt.

After learning that Rophi hadn't fled with a controlling lover, Sibon turned his attention to locating her and discovered that she'd been spirited away to the Fey Wilds by an Arch-Fey that held her in a summoning contract. Two years of plotting led to the Fey sending Rophi directly into his arms, and after the thirty-year separation, the two haven't been apart since.

Sibon has been known as the 'Sage of Stars' ever since he adopted the Phoenix identity.
