Having been sent to a magical college at a shockingly early age, Maseis always believed that her aptitude for wizardry was second-to-none. Her theoretical grades always put her at the top of her class, but her practical casting grades were dead-last. Finally, the headmistress gave her an ultimatum- complete a research expedition to a new island and be certified as a wizard, or flunk out. At the risk of having her phylactery broken (thereby losing all magical power she had gained until that point), Maseis agreed.

On the island, she and her crew discovered the preserved body of the single most powerful sorcerer known to history... And Maseis discovered that her magic was born in the same sorcery as the conqueror Faltroth, who had been stirred by their arrival. After expressing her thanks for being woken and freed, the archmage vanished.

Maseis and crew limped back to Pallas, where they were told to join the war effort against a freshly-active Faltroth.

Now manages the day-to-day operations of a city named Najima, along with a woman named Tzabaar. Brilliant tactician, and shockingly strong mage... not that many know, since she prefers to talk her way around most situations instead of flaunting her power. Also oversees a minor spy network. Married to Meropis*. (I should make a Meropis dragon * I HAVE made a Meropis dragon! <3) Known as either the "Sage of Relics" or the "Tyrant of Najima" depending on who is asked. The latter was born of rumor from political opponents, but it has stuck everywhere except for Najima itself.

Regal! Very royal, kind of like a queen or other form of leader. You could ask her for advice on something and she'd tell you exactly what you needed to know, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Alternatively, divine being. Either way very wise and important looking. -DoctorAlphys
