Across Sornieth, the Rowan Traders wander, peddling their wares. They keep no schedule and are beholden to no one; arriving on a fine spring morning to set up their wagon on the green and smile at passers-by. They laugh and tell jokes to children; they sell candies and toys, potions and recipes, books and foods brought from far off places. Perhaps they stay for a day, a week, a month; but regardless the length of their visit, they’ll disappear like the mists, burned away by the sun and memories of them fade the same way until it’s no longer clear if they were ever there to begin with.

A master at making potions, Jahani can create something to suit any need; and, unlike some of his more ethically concerned peers, he will if the price is right. It matters not at all to him if one of his products is used in an assassination or in pursuit of eternal life or in the name of unnatural science experimentation. That’s the thing about the Rowan Traders: they don’t judge their customers or pretend at being morally superior.

Because they’re not. The thing Jahani never mentions – while he smiles through his teeth at a potential buyer – is that no potion can be made without a contribution from the customer. His prices are steep, his words are honeyed, and his sales are final. What will you surrender? A memory? A loved one? Your soul? Whatever he tells you, the deals always seem too good to be true: because they are. But that’s hard to remember when he’s so charming and kind and honest. Surely it can’t possibly be that bad, right? Surely.

Come. Everyone wants something. Wealth or fame or beauty, everyone craves what they believe they do not have. So make an exchange. You deserve it.

ORIGIN / Literally no one knows where the merchants came from, all three of them answer differently any time they're asked. Wherever they're from, it's probably not anywhere nice. A clan of scammers most likely.

Fact / Can bottle absolutely anything. No really. You want a few extra years? Done. You want to be happier? Easy. You want some better luck? No problem. Will there be a price? Yes, everything costs something. What's the price? Well... now, who can say for sure? Complete the purchase and find out.

Likes / Books and cats. And hand-to-hand combat (just for exercise, you understand). Stopping in the Reliquary is good for these things, good for relaxing. Long walks (which is why being a travelling merchant with Taiya and Saahmar is so good). He likes a lot of things really. He's basically the opposite of Saahmar: hard to annoy.

Dislikes / Complications that harsh his vibe. He's honestly the chillest of the three of them, the least concerned with anything and the most laid back. Though, to be clear, when his easy-going smile and earnest charm don't work... that kinda bugs him. Just a little.

Interests / It's best for their work if they don't keep exhaustive copies and accounts of sales. But Jahani is really quite dedicated to keeping extensive notes about the places they go and the people they meet. If for no other reason than to avoid the places where they've committed some ridiculous "crime" or whatever.
