From a world distant and unknown to dragonkind, Verchiel is an outsider, just like Phoenix and a certain odd pair of Skydancers (even if they strongly deny it.) They hang out in the form of a Tundra - fluffy and cute - to avoid scaring the others. Though they appear to reside in the tower for most of the year, they are not a part of the clan and claims to only be a visitor.

You could call Verchiel a "guardian angel" of sorts...

- neutral pronouns - "they/them"; does not have a concept of gender
- favorite food is honey
- favorite drink is wine that the clan has plenty of
- is drawn to the celestine found around the Observatory
- sometimes speaks in a language that the clan doesn't understand
- avoids gazing directly into mirrors and other reflective surfaces
- avoids Phoenix in particular; no ill will but it's supposedly bad for them to be near each other
- spends a lot of time at the very top of the tower, doing nothing in particular
- is absent during Trickmurk Circus and Night of the Nocturne
