Courageous, Tough, Respectful
A delicate musical chime announces the arrival of a lovely pair of new customers, they enter the shop along with a whoosh of cool air. Popular all season long, most visit Sornieth Shave Ice in their off season for their Spiced Indulgences; piping hot beverages to warm your spirit and your claws. In the cooler seasons most are huddled close, enjoying their treats and toddies, while the fireplace crackles and keeps them cozy. The atmosphere is busy, and the shop owner, with her happy smile, mixes her creations with flavorful colored syrups and sometimes a dollop of freshly whipped cream (sometimes two dollops). It is the most popular venue in the lair, and it is frequented by many denizens of the Fortress of Ends. Tonight a couple of dragons, Eos and Astraeus, are peering into the counter area, requesting a special treat; Passion Fruit Hot Tea, a nice and hot beverage with flavors of Passion Fruit, Kiwi and Mango, with hints of Orange. They watch the spectacle of its production with eager anticipation, and wait patiently for the call, “Orders Up!”.  Eos's seat on the clan council is well established and long lived; being the leader of her Order, and best fighter amongst her clanmates, she is a force to be reckoned. She has kept many mates over the years, though at the time her partnership is held by a transplant from a rival clan. Eos was originally wary of Astraeus, as he would typically prefer to use words, rather than a weapon, but now she values him as an ally, and treasures their kinship. The two are revered within the lair, and are typically seen as tall ominous beings to a nest of newborn hatchlings. Their combined voice holds reason and strength, and a tone of leadership which is well respected. Offspring of this pair are raised in a stern, moderate home, with lessons on martial techniques and lectures on philosophy. They may be prone to sneaking out at night. |
