As you and your clan are gathered, waiting for the arrival of a magical messenger with your letter containing the name of your precious giftee, the one dragon you left on watch duty runs in in a haste.
“SOMEONE JUST ARRIVED!” They screech in excitement and when everyone turns you notice a vaguely christmas-y looking, green and red dragon following them. She seems a bit exhausted, but has a smile on her face as he steps closer.
“My name is Milad, they sent me this time to give you the good news!” she hands you a letter and as she gets closer you notice the incenses burning in her clothing. They have a special smell that spreads around the room you are all gathered and fills the air. The scent is everything that reminds you of the coming of the holidays. It’s pine needles and gentle fire burning in the fireplace. It’s big meals and sugary sweets. It’s special gifts and laughter. It’s love and belonging.
You take the letter with a smile and open it up with bubbling excitement.
By the time you finish reading the letter, Milad is gone, but the scent lingers. You feel like it’ll stay with you for the next few weeks.
