It's a well-known fact by all in Sornieth that their world has a population problem. The ratio of hatchlings-to-adults is so large, many young ones grow up without the parental love and care a dragon needs in their formative years. This is the cause that Varm has taken as her goal in life. Every dragon whom lives without maternal warmth is her charge; she gives her love freely, whether they be newborns or well into their years. Being embraced by her is said to have healed emotional wounds, and lessened the pain of mental traumas. However, she doesn't just care for her children, but raises them as well. She provides guidance and wisdom so that these orphans may gain the tools to take better care of themselves when Varm is unavailable to them. Those who have lived under her care, and those who've heard tale of her, formally call her "Varm, Mother to All."

She takes great pride and joy in her children. Her hoard is filled to the brim with letters written from them, and the many gifts they've brought her over the years. But her children are not her only visitors, as she often has expecting mothers visit her for even a nugget of her wisdom and experience. And, while rare, expecting fathers may tentatively enter her den, and recieve the same treatment — a fond hello inviting them in, and an open mind to give them any answers they may seek.
