Delta

Delta is a spirited, eager hunter who is frighteningly good at his job. It's a good thing that most of the beach-dwelling clan members share a preference for seafood - otherwise, Delta's routine of hauling bursting nets to shore every day might become a problem.

In addition to catching seafood, Delta's high energy is also channeled toward protecting the clan's hatchlings. Toward the heart of Sunbeam Grotto rests a shallow bay that serves as the clan's nesting grounds and nursery. Even though the area is cocooned by a dense kelp forest and protected by a mystical shield, Delta insists upon checking for threats daily. If he spends most of his patrol time playing with the baby dragons, that's his own business!

As is typical for Water-born dragons, Delta's build is sleek and hydrodynamic. More notably, his speckled hide bears an unusual rough texture, and the thin, opaque membranes of his wings aren't able to support flight. While they may seem inconvenient to terrestrial dragons, these features work to help Delta swim faster, reducing his weight and drag in the water. He opens his wings under the surface, then uses his strong muscles to push the water down his back and behind him, creating a momentum that can sustain him for miles. When sprinting through the water, Delta could easily outswim a cannon shot!
