Kipa, our gentle giant--a child of the Reach who never left.
While he lacks any skill as a warrior or a brawler, Kipa is a solid wall of rippling muscle. All of it goes toward the growth of the Reach, in any way he can help. Unlike the other dragons of the Reach, Kipa (and his mate, internal clan messenger Scout) don't live in the main cave complexes. Instead, they make their home in modified longneck-style dwellings lower in the cliff wall, in and among the longneck population of the Reach.
A beloved neighbor, Kipa uses his massive strength to make life for the Longneck farmers easier. He can pull things far too heavy for a hand-drawn cart, unearth stones and tree stumps with nothing but a sturdy harness, and fly heavy harvest equipment, hay bales, etc directly up and down from the valley without having to wind all the way down on foot.
Also, he once had the brilliant idea to stuff pillows, comforters, and jackets with shed Tundra fur gathered in the spring. This gave rise to a new annual tradition similar to sheep-shearing in which a great community effort is made to first scrub the Reach's tundras clean, dry them off with bellows, and then painstakingly comb out their winter coats. In addition to being a huge relief to overburdened Tundras, it's great fun for the other dragons and beastkin taking part. Children amuse themselves by running after and collecting stray puffs of angora fur, and it's all in all an extremely enjoyable festival.
