Tsurune is rarely present at the Observatory - he claims that its walls suffocate him, and looming obligation to talk with others sends him into panic. He looks easy to approach, and others often mistake that for his eagerness to chat. However, Tsurune mostly replies only when addressed, and to avoid that, he disappears into the fields and woods, tracking critters of all kinds, sleeping under the vast sky and humming unheard melodies just to himself and the nature. He is actually a great hunter, one of those who knows how to wield a bow, and self-taught in disguise and imitation of sounds, as well. His eyesight and smelling are supreme, and even if he can't keep up with his prey in speed, he would just end it with a sure shot.
Unlike other hunters, Tsurune is never seized by ardor or bloodlust, and is quite docile, only hunting when needed, trying to avoid it, even. Animals tend to let him very close, as if not sensing danger, and so his hunts often result in taming instead of killing. Sometimes predators even bring him their own game, probably assuming he can't hunt. He chuckles softly, in serenity with beasts looking at him with their sincere eyes, not asking for words.
