patron of snowstorms | whimsical, generous, fanciful

Born where the ice froze the earth, Noel lived much of his young life within the protection of the Icewarden's wings. He was humble, a mere rumor compared to his divine protector who roamed the vast icefields. However it so happened he was shaken free one dusk in the wind — and thereupon fell prone down to the snow he'd never even touched. The Icewarden's footprints vanished to the horizon and he was too small to pursue, and thus Noel made his home along the outskirts of the tundra's cities, in the penumbra of their lights. Noel is a minute force but a powerful one; he has learned that with a simple flap of his wings he can compel the snowstorms that haunt the fields' denizens. Over the years he has earned himself many names for very few have ever met him; he is something of a legend in the snowdrifts, moving as softly and silently as a snowflake. It is said at night he slips into towns and dusts the roofs and frosts windowpanes with his breath, leaving only his small paw imprints in freshly fallen snow as evidence he was ever there at all.
