Astaroth was hatched on Christmas day. While most dragons celebrate Christmas, most haven't a clue why or where the tradition came from. Astaroth, however, can see other dimensions and worlds with his 3rd eye. Sometimes he slips from his own world into other worlds. He knows all about things that others don't. This has made others think that he is insane. Not dangerous, mind you, but insane nonetheless. And, truth be told, it wouldn't be surprising if he was a bit crazy, after all, he isn't actually firmly placed in his own world. That would drive anybody a little nuts. The doors in which he can see, that lead to other places, and in which he sometimes slips through, are 2 way doors. This causes an issue. An issue that only him, and those like him, are aware of. Not all worlds and dimensions have friendly inhabitants and when those types slip through to HIS reality, it is up to him to protect HIS home. As a hatchling, this was confusing and quite difficult to do. He didn't have the tools he needed. As an adolescent he met and befriended Leyendyln, a Portal Watcher, by nature. He also invented some tools to help alert him at possible intrusions. When someone, or something, passes through one of the doors, one of the red squares in his accent flashes. Depending on the square, he knows which door. Once he gets to that door, he also has weapons that he can use to target and attack, if need be. These weapons are in the form of little glowing/electric balls. And for protection he sports sharp horns and claws, as well as a tattoo along his stomach, in the form of a blue mouth that activates and eats any attacks that are aimed at him. It really is quite a site to see. He once was set on getting back to the 'outside' but then he found a particularly dangerous door IN the facility and so he decided to stay. However, despite all the reasons he was committed for, they had decided to release him as they deemed him harmless. He had to find a way to stay IN, ironically, so with his bright red squares and flashy balls of light, he curved himself into the a capital D and pretended that he was the first letter of the 'Dining Room' sign. And every time a door was triggered and one of the lights flashed he would exclaim "UH OH, gotta replace a light" before he 'disappeared', to go fight off whatever he needed to fight off. Because of all of these new developments, they decided to keep him committed.... and upgrade him from low security to the 'moderate' security floor.
