this dragon comes from another reality
breach comes from an alternate version of sornieth, where a sudden sharp increase in arcane energy radiating out from the neighboring starfall isles caused a freak mutation in a number of the diseases festering in the wyrmwound. this incident resulted in devastating breach of containment and subsequent outbreak that ravaged the surrounding territories. the runaway contagion intermingled with - and in some unfortunate cases, overtook - the other elements, ending in a drastically altered landscape.this dragon comes from another reality
breach maintains that if he had been hatched in a pristine, untouched version of sornieth - which he had, apparently, at one point visited - he would have been wind flight. he came from a place called the scarlet sandwastes, described as a vast desert of rolling red dunes and festering mesas, where the sun beat down hot, and thin, gasping winds carried with them the smell of sickness. this territory occupied the space that used to be the windswept plateau.
he feels no particular need to return "home," nor does he necessarily want to. this new world he has found himself in is delightfully bizarre and brimming with opportunity for exploration and experimentation. all within the bounds of a world that, if he's being honest, really wouldn't be made any worse with the addition of a few extra tears in the fabric of reality.
