As you approach the brightly colored Imperial, he looks up as you come near. He watches warily until you speak, then his countenance changes to a soft, warm & welcoming one and he procures a teapot & offers you some as you continue to speak & introduce each other....

Give a welcome to GlimmerScape, who joined the clan on the night of January 24th at 9:10 pm who is also one of the clan's Astronomer! :D


GlimmerScape is a kind and undersanding dragon who is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He tends to mostly keep to himself & is a very observant dragon, but he's also not afraid of being brave, and can be as bold & bright as the colors of his hide when the moment calls for it. He stands up for himself or others when he sees someone is being wronged, and isn't afraid to speak his mind on the matter and put the wrong-doer in their place. Otherwise, this Imperial is pretty quiet and likes to sit back & watch the world spin as life goes by; he's a pretty laid-back dragon.
As he worked on finding his Role in the clan, he also discovered along the way that he was pretty skilled with herbs and a boiling pot of water. Though not wanting to pursue that as a life-long career, he found he enjoyed it & that the process was very peaceful. Now he enjoys tea-making as a hobby, and doesn't mind putting on a pot for anyone who stops by for a visit.
Though his hide might give the impression he is an Arcane dragon, he knows truly he belongs to Flamecaller as his eyes display. He is proud to belong to such a bold, blazing deity, and sometimes has a temperament that runs just as brightly.

GlimmerScape came from a clan who made their home in the Ashfall Waste. He grew up happily with his parents & brothers within the flaming land. They all grew up together, forming a close bond and though their parents had had many other children before them, GlimmerScape was happy to join their large family. Though not all from the same parents, he found he also got along well with his other half-siblings that resided in the clan and proud to call them his relatives, and heard the tales his parents told of their previous hatchlings who no longer resided with them, yet felt glad for what they had done as well. As the trio grew, the three of them went on to forge their own paths, and they all left home, feeling as though they wanted to search the realm & see where the Winds of fate would take them. Asane found himself in an Arcane clan where he decided to be Exalted to serve the Arcanist, for, unlike his brother, he felt as though he was born in the wrong land & that his allegiances lied elsewhere. Orion found himself in the Tangled Wood, and GlimmerScape landed here, in the realm of Wind, and now each of them work to make a life for themselves in their new respective homes.
Now the Imperial works to form new bonds here as he has settled in and finds he also has a good temperament that allows him to get along with most here. He has made a few friends, and finds he gets along great with those who are Fire-aligned like he is. While not trying to pick favorites or take sides, he has just discovered things tend to go that way when he's with others who hailed from the Ashfall Waste..
After he arrived and was wandering around the place & discovering the layout of the clan, he wandered into a sweet shoppe one day that was full of candies & treats that occupied every space available within the small building. He felt like there was so much to look at that he was almost overwhelmed, but noticed there was spacing so as not to totally overtake the viewer. He found that clever, and wanted to see who ran the shop and crafted such exquisite sugary confections and who had come up with such a display. He didn't have to wonder for long for a pink Gaurdian stepped out from the back, carrying a tray of freshly crafted goods, ready to be put on display. He watched her for a moment before speaking up, and she was surprised at first but laughed it off as she greeted him, realizing she'd never seen him before & figured he must've been a newcomer. She offered him some samples and as they spoke, she said her name was Avrella and she ran this little sweet shoppe with some help from others who stopped by from time to time. He gobbled up every piece she gave him, finding she had an incredible way with flavors, and discovered she was just as sweet ad the candies she made. Right when he felt as though they might've been having a connection forming, a red Coatl stepped in to the building, and Avrella smiled at the arrival of him and sighed, but GlimmerScape's perceptiveness told him it wasn't a sigh of happiness at the sight of the other dragon.. They exchanged a sweet greeting, and from their interaction, the Imperial inferred that they were a couple & this was her partner, and the Coatl doted on her sweetly while he also swiped a few candies for himself. Avrella laughed but chided him for it, but as they continued to carry on with the Imperial there, he could tell there was something going on between them that told him she wasn't very happy in the relationship. Then, the Coatl decided he's stayed long enough and made to leave, wishing his significant other a great resto f the day & that he had to get back to his own job. Somehow he didn't seem to notice the Imperial, but GlimmerScape didn't particularly want to be perceived for he had been listening to everything and didn't want to get called out on it. He pretended to be focused on the candies adorning the shelf, making as if he was tallying up treasure in his head to buy some, but when the Coatl left, he dropped the act and made to address the Gaurdian again. When he asked who that was, Avrella relayed his name was Mistletoe and he was her boyfriend. As they spoke more about it, he found that his suspicions were correct, and she wasn't truly happy with him, though she wasn't sure what to do about it. He'd already proposed to her but she didn't feel quite ready for that big step yet but didn't want to leave him either for she still loved him dearly.. GlimmerScape listened, then felt a preposterous idea come to mind, and not being afraid to voice it, he proposed to the Gaurdian that if she wasn't happy staying with the Coatl, why was she still in the relationship? He pointed out that no matter how much time passed & how much she kept waiting for things to "feel right" between them, it wasn't going to get any better between them in the meantime, and she'd still feel miserable. She was surprised by his bold advice, but as she listened to his reasoning, she saw his point, and said she'd think about it. What the Imperial had said had really gotten her mind going, and she knew she didn't want to be miserable forever & that there was more to life than that. With that in mind, she made to talk to her partner the same night when they saw each other again, and thanked the Imperial for his wisdom. They began chatting on other topics, and he asked if he could work with her & lend a helping claw, for even though she was taken, he felt drawn to her inexplicably and if she happened to break things off with her current partner, he didn't want to let he go away so easily for he was also looking for love and thought he might've just found "the one". She agreed to let him work & shadow her in her shoppe, and thus began a friendship between them as she showed him the techniques of candy-making.
As he was working alongside her, he got to see the change happen in her life when she said she'd broken it off with the Coatl and that it was a decision they'd both come to & mutually agreed on. She said how she felt that it was the right decision to end things with Mistletoe and he also said things didn't feel good betwen them anymore, then came back to Glimmer to tell him how it went... As she spoke, Glimmer could tell she still wasn't happy with life and sad that she'd had to let him go for the Coatl had meant a lot to her. Though not being there himself, he could understand, and tried to picture that with someone he knew who'd he have to say goodbye to. Then, his brave streak got ahold of him again and he asked if she was still looking for love and wanted someone to be with, to which she said yes. With this answer in mind, he then he asked if she wanted to try dating him & be his partner? Avrella was surprised at first by his forwardness, but figured no one else had asked yet and realized and she too felt a connection to him. She saw how knid he was and that he hadn't tried to take advantage of her at any point in their friendship, and she wondered what he was like in a romantic context, so she agreed & figured she'd give it a try.. With that confirmation, GlimmerScape was happy to have the Gaurdian at his side as a partner, and took her in as his own significant other, and now they work on their relationship, finding ways that their loves grows & how much they love each other. Avrella still ached for the Coatl she'd left, but is happy now with her Imperial and finds she loves him more that she ever loved her previous boyfriend. The happy couple is still dating to this day, though GlimmerScape feels as though things are going in the right direction and he plans to ask "the question" to see if she'd want to spend the rest of her life with him.. Though he doesn't want to scare her off like what happened last time she was asked, he still wants to advance things to a serious commitment & make the Gaurdian his and make sure the rest of the world knows it, too......
As they spoke one time about their future together and prospects of where life was going, he knew it was the right time to ask, and brought "the question" up, proposing the prospect to the Gaurdian. He could tell she seemed uncertain at first as she hesitated, and braced himself for the outcome of what had happened to Mistletoe, but she smiled and a bright glitter filled her eyes as she said 'yes'. He smiled gleefully, glad that he hadn't lost her, and from there, they planned the big day. Soon, the event came & all attended, even her old Coatl partner. Glimmer could tell he was still sad about what happened between them, but he masked it with a happiness that he donned, showing he was glad Avrella had found love. She took his comments happily, seeming lost in the glee of the day that she didn't pick up on the sadness just beneath the surface of the Coatl's happiness. As she thought about it later, however, she felt bad for him & though happy for herself, she still wished things would have gone differently for them. GlimmerScape knew she felt this way, but told her to let it go & not focus on the past anymore. She grinned, realizing he was right, and said "Then let's focus on the future... Our future.." And from there, the happy couple now focuses on their life together, building a future for themselves within the clan :)
As he went around the clan meeting the other dragons, he found he could shadow them to find how he could fit in with the clan & help run things around the place. While he worked alongside Avrella in her shoppe, he also spent time with others, learning which skills he was & wasn't good at. On his journey, he met another Gaurdian who always seemed to have her eyes on the sky, drawn to the stars that dotted the sky every night. Fascinated to see how she had such a love for the celestial beings, he asked her if he could study under her and see what made her so intrigued with them. The guardian, named Shimala, agreed, and they struck up a friendship as she taught him of the things above Sornieth and far out in the universe. For some reason, GlimmerScape found this very interesting and soaked up everything he could, and felt as though he had discovered where he might be able to fit in at the clan. He also sought out the most knowledgeable dragons in the clan who taught him other things similar to his study, and from there, he found his Role among the clan's Astronomers! Absolutely enthralled by the distant galaxies & nebulae far out in the universe & the constellations above that matched the patternings on his hide, he delved into the topic head-first, discovering a thirst for the subject. He also learned about the mythos and legends behind the stars that the dragons in Sornieth had created & passed on for generations and loved every bit of it. Now, as he spends time with his wife & helps run her shop, he also works alongside Shimala, teaching others of the stars above who want to know more about it themselves..
While he was on the path of shadowing others, he had studied under KireaOcean, the clan's Water Rep to see why the Flight was so important to her. He also spent some time with the other Representatives, seeing what it meant to have allegiances to each of those Flights, but he found his time with Kirea was particularly fascinating. With the current status of the Water's deity, he asked how she was holding up and saw how she was not faring too well, even with the prayers & trips into the Water realm she took, ever seeking her beloved god. To learn more, GlimmerScape accompanied her on one of these trips, and though the water singed him at first, he learned to get used to the sensation of being submerged. While they swam about in the depths of the trench, he saw other dragons who seemed to also be on the fervent search, noting Water & non-Water aligned dragons among them. He also saw countless tribes of Marren swimming about in the realm, and for some reason, noticed one had taken to his side & was swimming alongside him. He thought she must've been mistaken, and when he surfaced, he found that the sea-dwelling creature was still following him. As Kirea lead him back to their clan, he asked the Maren if she was lost or confused, but all she said was that she had the feeling she was being told to follow him for some reason. Not being able to deny things outside of his control, if she said she was being told by some unseen force to stick by his side, then he couldn't fight with that & accepted it and thus that was how he meant Cakanthia and began the bonding relationship with his companion, the Maren Current-Finder.. As stated above, GlimerScape is one of the clan's Astronomers! He is still learning all that he can, and for those that want to learn as well, he doesn't mind imparting his knowledge with them..
