Ariel emerged from a now destroyed underwater temple deep in the Sea of Thousand Currents. He hadn't seen the surface ever before, but without a temple to call his home, he felt lost. It had been his entire life. To serve the temple and guard it, but he had failed. He had failed the Tidelord and no longer deserved to call the sea his home.

So he took off to find a new purpose elsewhere. Lost and sure in this alien world for him, Ariel travelled around Sornieth. Helping those who were in need, and is how Ariel found himself in the Guild.

Ariel helps with the matters of the deep, using his knowledge of ancient sea leviathans to help the guild study them and keep them at bay.

Since he is still a little clumsy on land, Ariel only joins in missions that take place near water - or underwater. Helping and guiding his team through the waters he knows like the back of his claws.
