On this fine night and oh so particularly late -later than you would have wished to greet company that is- a peculiar fellow showed up on your threshold -the likes of which you had never seen before and probably will never see again. He didn't call. He didn't knock. You probably wouldn't have even noticed him had you not passed by your open door/lair/cave entrance, only to see him simply standing there. Watching. Waiting. He was very strange indeed. In part due to the fact that he was a total stranger, but then, you had met many other strangers before him today -all wishing for treats- that didn't give you this same odd feeling in your gut -they also didn't quite stare at you like they were made of stone either.
'Something is definitely wrong with him. . .' you think to yourself, 'perhaps I should-'. He breaks your train of thought to speak his peace and nothing more. And when he does speak, it is nothing but poems, and mysterious echoed whispers. . .

''Can you feel it? The shadows are shifting.''

Seasons are changing; times are growing darker. And all the while the nights only ever lengthen. . .

Long ago, in the days before man roamed the earth, ravens swarmed a lightless sky. And in that land of poison blight and eternal twilight, a demon was born. On that day, they called his name Der Rabe - meaning ''The Raven'' in the German language.
