Biography
Descendant of the Whispering Sirens |
|
The Whispering Sirens were known for their unique style of communication: Unlike most Veilspuns, they do not communicate via pheromones and flight pattern alone, but also by vibrating sounds they produce with their wings. To most dragons, not related to the Veilspuns of the Whispering Sirens, these sounds resemble the soft melody of a harp, hypnotizing those with weak minds. Allegedly, old tales of the Whispering Sirens were what inspired the creation of the Veilspun Verses. But those were only rumors told by bards and jesters nowadays. Each Siren lives in deep Harmony with the nature of the Tangled woods and learned how to safely navigate the dangerous thorn thickets when they leave their nest inside the Forum of the Obscured Crescend for the first time. Each Individual was equal to one another and did not obey to any Partriarch or Martriarch -only the collected will of the swarm. When challenged, this Swarm would attack with powerful Shadow magic, as well as a generous use of Sap, wich drained their opponents life force in small amounts. Often enough they were supported by various members of the beast clan, native to the Tangled woods, to which the Swarm of the Whispering Sirens held close symbiotic relationships to. It's not rare for a Moonlight Fungi or an Umbra Wolf to be found among the midst of the swarm. Whereas their beast-clan allies provided the swarm with safety or a share of their prey, the Singing Sirens offer their skills to heal and craft powerful enchanted trinkets. Some of these trinkets were said to be infused with the tears of the Shadowbinder herself, allowing their wearer to melt into the shadows and become one with them. Their trinkets were said to be of such delicate handcraftship, that even without infused magic they were popular among high societies and even royalty. To this day it remains unknow how this swarm could become extinct. As their last remaining Descedant , revived from the remains of the ancient Labyrinth, Astraeus now carries on the legacy of the Whispering Sirens. |
