The massive Guardian let loose an earth quaking yawn, effectively splitting her skull in two. She gently shook her head, sunlight glinting off her golden horns. 'The days have been dragging by recently. I need to find something to occupy myself. All these naps can not be good for staying in top condition.' Talulla had recently been too busy with clan business to properly go out into the battlefield and hunt for loot. As a result, Lorelei has been at a loss for what to do with her time. 'May as well to a sweep of the perimeter. Who knows, perhaps today is the day the Beastclans descend upon us.' She chuckled to herself, causing deep rumbles to shake the ground beneath her. Since the day that the clan moved to the islands, there has not been a whisper of trouble on any horizon. Still, Talulla and Calem thought it best to assign a few border guards, just to be safe. She unfurled her massive wings, and shoved off into the sky with a mighty force. Glancing at the ground, Lorelei saw the deep craters she left on her take off. Her heart sank, because she knew she was going to catch a lot of flack from the only dragon that was larger then her in the clan, the groundskeeper, ????. 'I will deal with that later. Still, this will have been the umpteenth time she has berated me for this ... I wonder how many strikes I have left.' As if called by name, a shadow that could only be cast by ???? herself loomed over the unfortunate Guardian. "Lorelei! How many times do I have to tell you to take off from the designated take off points!!" |
