Fane
Oh, look at this place, what a waste, it's such a mess;
I skip through the horror to find some happiness
"You are so eager to judge the darkness in my heart, but my hands are clean and my soul cherished by a being as mighty as your Icewarden. Can you say the same?"

Born of dragons blessed by the Shade, Fane is known as a troubling case for gaolers far and wide. Most Shade-touched dragons find themselves corrupted, changed in irreversible ways and potentially losing their sanity and free-will entirely, but Fane shows no signs of normal Shade corruption. In fact, his natural magic gifted to him by the Gladekeeper, is dim and outshined by the Shade magic encompassing his soul.

He has a mild taste for meat unlike most Skydancers - a trait Fane would explain, bemused, is inherited from his father - and two twisting Roundhorns protruding from his head that share the same oily-black hue as other Shade "blessings". He sometimes receives visions, prophecies sent to him from the Shade.

But instead of serving the Shade, as his parents did before him, Fane joined the Gaolers of Sleetstorm and surrendered himself to the Council of Frosthome as another dragon to guard the more volatile Shade-touched dragons. Fane views it as his sworn duty to assist in the containment of the Shade, though his reasons for having such views are unknown. Still, Fane was begrudgingly accepted as a guard given the fact that some other guards at Sleetstorm had forms of Shade corruption, and still were allowed to serve.

But his loyalty is ever questioned...
