Brecht

Brecht grew up in the Cloudsong, located in the Windswept Plateau. Unlike most Gaolers, he had never even visited the Southern Icefields, and was content to remain in his home above the clouds.

Wanderlust eventually overcame him, so he traveled all over Sornieth. His final destination was the Southern Icefield, to see how other members of his kind lived, but he never made it there. During his stay in the Wandering Contagion, he became infected with the Malady, and was forced into exile. One good thing came out of the situtation- he met Sterre, a fellow ill Gaoler and his future mate.
