Biography

Ginga is a doctor and psychologist, healing dragons in body and mind.

Though unlike most dragons, Ginga was not born on the ground, or even in the water like her element, but in the night sky above the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Her egg sat in the sky and shone bright to guide ships and dragons on their journeys as they all flocked to it, compelled by its guiding light. Once she hatched, she stayed up in the sky to grow up, viewing the world from above, living her purpose as a guiding Gilded Star, and enjoying playing amongst constellations and clouds. But as she grew older, her yearning to help others deepened, and she realized her help could be best served up close and personal, rather than from a distance.

One night she descended to the earth, laying her feet on solid ground for the first time, learning to walk. After strengthening her legs and searching she found a medical school, where she trained her hand at being a doctor of the heart and the soul, studying medicine, psychiatry, and psychology. When she'd completed her studies she decided to return to near her birthplace, where she'd first set foot on the world, and found that in her absence a clan of dragons has blossomed there. With a smile, she stepped inside and asked to join, offering her services of guidance and help, and she was welcomed with open arms. Not many of them seemed to recognize her a the star who lived overhead several years ago, but there were a few dragons she herself recognized who stared at her as if trying to see where they knew her from.

And so she spent her days helping dragons heal from all their wounds, corporeal or not. She helps Gentara overcome her shell-shock, Gracyanne mediate her hyperactive behavior, and many more. Some dragons need ongoing help with her, others only need a few sessions. Her most intriguing challenge yet was Grimm, a strong yet fearful Coatl who was the victim of a vampire, turning him into one. He was afraid and timid, and it was clear he hated what had become of him. She found herself caring for him strongly, and was extremely determined to help him overcome his inner demons.

Over time, as the treatment progressed, Ginga found herself falling for him. She knew it would be unprofessional of her to ask him to be her mate while he was still under her care, so she waited patiently and painfully, helping him as much as she could to heal his soul.

Finally, on the day he was deemed fit enough to finish his therapy sessions with her, Ginga approached Grimm and asked him to be her mate; not so she may heal him as a therapist, but so she may be by his side as a friend and a soulmate. He was shocked at the proposal, but gladly accepted. They're still together to this day.
