"Arcan was a renowned GAT bio-scientist years ago, prized for his research that went into archeology and research of the planet's fossils. He found a way to recreate the lifeforms from soft tissue left in the old bones and made an island to keep them on. Not unlike Jurassic Park, which many speculated he got his idea from, he revived thousands of fossils from hundreds of different species, even from different periods of Prismona's prehistoric times.
His downfall, however, was genetically engineering 3 hyper intelligent reptiles from different species of dinosaurs and dragons, with both ancient and modern DNA, and then making a total theme park from the island. His partner at the time, Elaine, saw him going insane from the influx of fortune and fame, and gave it an honest try to reason her spouse from his empire. Arcan declined her plea, and Ford love her soul, did Elaine stick by him until the bitter end.
Remember the 3 hybrids he created? Well, they grew tired of being abused by tourists after Frea, a giant Charonoid hybrid, about got his throat cut as a hatchling by some punk children and never forgot them as he got older and bigger. The three, Frea plus Ferris the oversized ocean crocodile and Beau the land monster, met up and decided it was time for Arcan to stop playing God. It wasn't him they wanted to kill, but to rather take everything he worked so hard on away, including Elaine. The few tourists who had escaped took the last remaining ship, the rest destroyed by Ferris, leaving Arcan alone on his island for 15 years, trying to reach somebody 50 miles away on the mainland.
15 years of solitude changes the hardest of essences, not that Arcan had a callous soul to begin with. He regrets what happened to Elaine like fire, and still has nightmares about being too afraid to die himself to rescue her. How did he survive, as big of a coward as he? Arc pulled together every stitch of his Green Acres training he took before he decided he wanted to be a scientist and didn't need to learn anything else. It wasn't much, but he taught himself the rest of what he could. He still had his laboratory, equipped with a kitchen and years of fuel, so he hunted and fed off what he could. He even created a dragon companion from the leftover DNA he had that hadn't expired or been destroyed for company and protection once she got older. As time grew, so did his confidence, and before long he owned the island even more than he did when he was in control.
So when Green Acres finally heard his message and came to get him, combat became his new career and he hardly wanted anything to do with science for years after."
