"No, geology is not just "stupid rock stuff". It's very important to our understanding of Sornieth! Where would we be without our knowledge of our minerals and precious material earth? [...] ...I'm not ranting!"
Though he was born in the Snowsquall Tundra of the Southern Icefield, he has very little memory of it, as very shortly after his birth his family moved to Terraclae in Dragonhome. Taken in by the sparkling gems and minerals, Sasparil soon developed a deep love and fascination for geology. Soon after he came of age, he left his home and journeyed to the Ashfall Wastes, landing in the Volcanic Vents in search of obsidian. It was here he fell into danger, then fell in love, as he was saved by Turi, a local to the Fire Flight. Instantly smitten by her, he spent a year in the wastes simply to court her (and collect minerals). Soon, the two were wed, and decided to search for a friendlier land to spend the rest of their lives. Though they resolved to live in the Viridian Labyrinth, they briefly stopped in the Sunbeam Ruins, where Turi laid their only egg, and where they met the archaeologist Stygian. Becoming quick friends, Sasparil delayed their trip to the Nature Flight in order to help Stygian in his excavations, though the three were forced to flee after the great monster Luminax was reported to be rampaging in their area. After settling in Deltamoor, Sasparil took up a career as a geology teacher at the schoolhouse.
