i. endless night
Described in the clan's myths and folklore, Erebos is the personification of the darkness and shadows. He brings the darkness at the end of each passing day as his dark mists fill in the hollows of the earth.

ii. passersby
Bitter wine, incense offerings, and shallow graves. The only difference between a real god and a false one is belief--and even that is a threshold easily crossed. A light flits among the trees, a lantern carried by a lost traveller on the edge of exhaustion; his are not the only pair of eyes watching. It is one thing to embrace the solemn night, it is another thing entirely to become it.

iii. a traitor's plea
Faint light peers from the lantern at Erebos, his clouded eyes peering into the imperial's as he bares his teeth in a tight smile. Gotham patiently stares at him, waiting for the being to make his first move. The two stare at each other before Erebos places his claw inside the lantern and onto the burning flame of the candle. The light vanishes and the two are completely concealed in the eternal night.
"We are both to embrace the solemn of night, you should know this," He chuckles as wisps of smoke form around the two. The smoke disappears into her body as he presses his claw against her chest, and he brings his face close to her ear, whispering, "You may share my blood, but you are no god. Only a mere mortal chasing after a false reality."
