Biography

Soul Knight Fandragon
The Grand Knight,
Grand Knight, Male Coatl, Fire Flight?

[Discovered July 12th, 2021]

Some dragons seem to be connected to multiple universes, possibly having an alternative version of themselves out there. Dr. Galvan and her scientists hope that by studying these dragons they've started calling doubleworlders, they can learn more about what’s beyond their own world.

Laboratory Logs:

-None of the other scientists wanted to come with me this time. Something about the castle looking straight out of a horror movie.
-Whatever. I'll just go into the creepy haunted castle by myself, I guess.
-When I entered (the entrance wasn't locked or guarded for some reason??), the entire place looked abandoned. As I walked through the decrepit halls, I braced myself for the inevitable vengeful ghost of the king who used to rule the lands or something like that.
-Fortunately, there was no ghost. Not only that, but, to my surprise, I eventually found knights patrolling the halls.
-I decided to do what any sane person would do and call out to the knights. The instant they saw me, they surrounded me with swords pointed at me, telling me I shouldn't've been there.
-(Maybe if they had people guarding the entrance, this wouldn't have happened in the first place.)
-I told them I meant no harm, and that I was a scientist looking for a doubleworlder.
-They had no idea what I was talking about, but they eventually allowed me to roam as long as I allowed a few of the knights to follow me.
-I spent a long time patrolling the halls, my scanner rhythmically beeping as I came closer to the doubleworlder nearby.
-After what felt like half an hour, I entered a large room with dummies dressed in various clothes and armor lined up against the wall.
-There, I spotted a large dragon suited in armor that covered most of his body, including his face. My scanner started beeping rapidly, letting me know that this was the doubleworlder I was looking for.
-As I watched him stab his sword (claymore, perhaps?) through a dummy wearing a teal cloak, I suddenly had the urge to turn around, leave, and never come back.
-Even then, I walked forwards; I've dealt with much more dangerous creatures before! Some dude who's really good with a claymore shouldn't be too scary in comparison!
-I extended a paw and introduced myself, and he responded by pointing his claymore (which still had the dummy hanging off it) directly at me.
-I quickly told him I was just there to ask questions, but he didn't lower his weapon.
-Eventually, I decided to just ask him questions anyways.
-He refused to give a name, instead just calling himself the Grand Knight.
-He was a Knight. What a shock.
-He doesn't feel particularly connected to any other dimensions.
-No one ever does.
-The entire time, he had his claymore still pointed at my throat. It made asking the questions a bit... tense.
-Eventually, I asked out of curiousity what he was training to fight against.
-The Grand Knight paused for a second, before launching into a long tirade about some group of adventurers who periodically break into his castle to steal what rightfully belonged to him, punctuating a few sentences with swings from his claymore directed either into the air or towards the line of dummies.
-I lost interest after the first two minutes, so I can't really say what he was talking about. What I can say is that he seems to really hate these guys with a passion.
-In the middle of his speech, a voice echoed from the halls, shouting out, "Grand Knight! We've come for the stone!"
-From the dark halls arrived a group of four dragons, all wielding the strangest weapons I've ever seen. (Seriously, who'd look at slips of paper and decide it'd be the perfect thing to fight with?)
-Upon seeing the dragons, Grand Knight demanded to know how they got here while raising his claymore at them.
-(Maybe if you had guards by your entrance...)
-I then suddenly recognized one of the dragons, who was wielding a giant frozen fish, as Alchemist, a doubleworlder who I'd interviewed before.
-I greeted him and asked if he knew Grand Knight. Instead of answering me, Alchemist and the other dragons leapt aside as Grand Knight threw magic bullets towards them through his claymore.
-As Grand Knight and the four other dragons fought each other, I realized I was probably intruding and decided to leave.
-Well. That was very unhelpful.
-At least I wasn't skewered by a claymore.
-Or a fish.

From the looks of things, Dr. Galvan had already interviewed the Grand Knight long, long ago.

After reading up on her startlingly unprofessional report, I asked Dr. Galvan if the Knight seemed possessed or corrupted in any way, shape, or form. She stated that the individual seemed incredibly violent, but not due to outside forces, which only means that if these recent reports are true, we’ll have to capture Grand Knight and study him ourselves.

I arrived at the castle and felt a bit of dread. I’d hate to agree with Dr. Galvan, but the area really wouldn’t look out of place in a horror flick.

Thankfully, there still weren’t any guards by the entrance when I entered, but that small feeling of dread only grew as I wandered the halls and realized there were no knights patrolling the area. I’m no fighter, but the lack of company was worse than any amount of hostile soldiers.

After a long time of wandering, I finally find the training room in which I encountered the Grand Knight.

Just as the reports stated, he looked much different; his armor was darkened, marked with red lines, and he wielded two large swords. Emanating from him was a strange aura, one that reminded me of the Shade.

With just a wave of my hand, my scientists apprehended the Grand Knight with only some minor difficulties. As the scientists bound his arms and legs together so that he wouldn’t escape, I approached the knight and asked how he came to be corrupted by the Shade. He never responded. He only muttered something indecipherable and refused to speak again.

Oh well. I’ll find a way for him to talk.

Somehow.

-Dr. Eromus Drame
