URSULA
MEMBER OF THE LASGALEN COURT Lawful Neutral ∣∣ Günther ∣∣ The Whitefish •Theme Song - Frozen by Madonna• There's things you shouldn't seek for, And things you shouldn't speak of. My dear, what have you gone and done? Your mind has surely been stolen- And I don't mean to say, now, That the things you tell me should be untrue. But the world of gods is a dangerous one, Not for mere mortals to tread through. °°°°° |
THE LORE OF URSULA
Ursula was born way across the sea. She had a lovely childhood of expensive silks and playing near the ocean. Her parents were rather wealthy and often went off on leisure vacations to distant lands, leaving her in the care of a sitter. That sitter's son was a dragon by the name of Günther whom Ursula came to be great friends with.
At some point or another her parents must have decided she was old enough to come along on one of the vacations. She begged for a long time and eventually convinced them to bring Günther's family along as well.
The family never got to see the destination, though. Halfway through the journey the ship split in two, with their whole party plunged into the sea. Ursula was the only one left still clinging to a bit of mast. The survivors were rescued by another ship and dumped off in the Scarred Wastelands to fend for themselves.
During those tough years, Ursula grew more rugged and fierce. She slowly travelled up the land until she reached the old tree of Lasgalen. Now nearly an adult, Ursula stayed with them for awhile and slowly grew more powerful.
But, miracle of miracles, one day none other than Günther would show up on one of the court's meetings. He told her of his wild adventures in the bottom of the ocean, of him meeting a sea monster called Ollvus. He told her she just had to come with him and jump into the sea, for the teachings of Ollvus was the only way she would be saved. Ursula was sure he had gone mad. She didn't want to see her old childhood friend in this state- it was too painful. But Günther wouldn't let up. Eventually she agreed to come with him down to the ocean, if only for a nice vacation. She planned to stay as far away from him as possible.
They went for a nice swim and Günther dove below the surface. She followed him, confused. They swum deeper and deeper into the water. Ursula must have been in some sort of trance, for if she had not she certainly would have run away. The horrible green beast presented himself and Ursula was completely taken over. She was enlightened. She couldn't believe she had ever thought anything else.
Who knows if Ollvus was really real? Perhaps the both of them were mad all along. When they are done serving at the court of Lasgalen they will continue on, spreading the word of Ollvus to all who will listen.
