Birch ~ Heir
"Explore beyond our borders and take destiny in your hands. But always remember my child, there is a home for you here." The young veilspun stared up at his mother with wide eyes as she spoke, his head cupped gently in her hands. "Chase your passions, wherever may they take you."

Among the rest of his recently hatched kin, Birch took to the skies in search of fate, a place to realise his dreams. Long hours of flight and short minutes of rest had separated out the hatchlings as intended to be, for they would not find their destiny together. Something pushed Birch to fly southwest along with the breeze, drawing him in closer to Wind territory. A sudden stray updraft gusted his clumsy body upward, breaking through the clouds above and revealing an island of great marvel. It's floating... he thought in wonderment; but what caught his gaze the most was the water crashing down from overhead as a waterfall into a delightful pool surrounded by refreshing shade.

Birch had never cared much for the trickery and illusions affiliated with his kind, preferring the tranquillity of peace - something given to him when bathing. While it was the beauty of the waterfall and the marvel of the island that first attracted the young veilspun, there was something else at Gale Rain Clan that enticed him to stay - a feeling that told him this was home. Here he found a new path among dragons of all different kinds, enjoying his days in the water and helping young hatchlings grow in the nursery as a caretaker. His mother had always been kind to him and he wished to pass that on, aiding the youngins on their journey as she had. Here, among the Gale Rain Clan, he had found his true calling.
