Information NAME // "Dogwood." --"The Playful Ruler." Age // Adult -- Birthday // November 1st Pronouns // He/Him Alignment // Chaotic Good Occupation // Clan Chief Role // Born of the first generation of Veilspun. Dogwood is the appointed Chief of their kind were he now oversees all life that dwells within the Secluded Veil. Bio // Dogwood is known for being a charismatic, empathetic ruler who cares deeply for his people. When the Veilspun first emerged from the Shadowbinder's ichor. They would flitter in nervous swarms around their mother. Ducking into the darkness that dripped from her being at the slightest noise. Many feared leaving the embrace of their creators shadows. Dogwood was the first of the Veilspun to venture into this new world. He found himself in what would eventually be named Wispwillow Grove. Here he met a Mith, a member of the native Mothfolk of the Tangled Wood. Its soft pink hues contrasting the blue glow of the mushrooms around them. Dogwood thought of his own rose colored mane and felt a pull to this fluffy creature. Cautiously he approached. When it spoke it's voice was soft and airy, like the cooing notes of a woodwind instrument. They exchanged introductions. This Mith, Barnaby, had an insatiable thirst for knowledge it seemed. He delighted in the exchange of ideas with this curious entity. It was no easy feat for the pair to convince the Veilspun to leave their mother's shadow. Through the combined effort of Barnaby and Dogwood, the fledgling Veilspun were adopted into Mith society. The Mith provided large hives in secluded areas for swarms of the shy species to nest in. While the Veilspun's natural proclivity for magic, and innate connection to the Shadowbinder's domain made the land they tended around their hives blossom. Trade between the two species flourishes. Veil tend flowers produce the most delicious nectar. While the Veilspun adore the inventions of the Mith and fill their hives with trinkets and baubles. -- Likes // His people, Gardening, Games. -- Dislikes // Conflict, Cheaters, Losing  Familiar // Barnaby -- Role of familiar // Barnaby shares a close friendship with Dogwood. His aide had been instrumental to establishing the relationship between the Mith of the Tangled Wood and the newly emerged Dragonkind. Barnaby lives alongside Dogwood in Murkbarrow. Here he works as an astronomer, charting the ever night sky. |
