Yes, I keep my eyes open constantly. I don’t sleep. There are many ways to stay awake—caffeine, adrenaline, pain... If nothing else I’ll just pace back and forth through the tunnels. Getting lost is a blessing as it gives me something to do, rather than wringing my hands and waiting for the day.
