Xiayu is a serious and ambitious individual. He is not shy or socially inept, but merely prefers to observe rather than talk. He is a respected intellectual within the clan and is known to be friendly and have a warm smile. He is known to be modest and humble, but terrible at fighting, and his slim physique shows it. Because he is an unskilled fighter, clanmates will defend and aid him in battle whenever necessary.

Unbeknownst to the rest of the clan, Xiayu's humility is an act. The Imperial is actually a skilled liar and manipulator. He is a patient dragon that never takes advantage of those around him too often to be suspicious, but enough to get what he wants from them, usually knowledge.

Status is of great importance to him, though he hides this aspect of his personality very well. There aren't many dragons that Xiayu respects, and he looks down on others that he deems to be 'lesser' than himself. Towards clan members and friends of those he is close to, he has no trouble putting on a friendly face even if he couldn't care less about them.

In the presence of 'commoners' Xiayu emits a cold and scorning attitude with no trace of that friendly smile. Some dragons get intimidated and ignore him, but others get angry and see the slim dragon to be an easy target. As a result, he gets into many street fights. He pretends to be a weak in front of his clan but Xiayu is actually quite experienced in hand-to-hand combat. Due to the heavy amount of clothing he regularly wears, no one ever sees his wounds... and he makes sure it stays that way.

After all, it would be extremely bad if the clan found out about this other side of him... wouldn't it?
