Ajax was an Unhatched Egg found by Audra and Oceana. They stumbled upon his Egg in a pile of Gemstones. The two were confused as to how he ended up there, but they took him back to their Clan anyway. A few days after they arrived home, he Hatched! A small Gem was found molded into his Claw. Audra and Oceana took care of him until he grew into a strong adult.

Ever since Ajax grew up, he's had a strange fascination with Gems. He spends hours a day Digging for them. Oceana sometimes Digs just to watch over Ajax. He creates tools for himself, and uses them to hunt for more Gems. Ajax spends all his free time and work time Digging. He digs so much, the Clan worries for his Health.

Ajax met Rocky on one of his many Digging adventures. Ajax thought Rocky was a stone needing to be mined, but as he got closer, he realized Rocky was a Goblin! He spoke to Rocky, trying to get information on the sacred Earthshaker's Tears. Rocky didn't have an answer because he to was searching for the Earthshaker's Tears as well. The two now spend time together hunting for the sacred Tears.
