Uh-oh, looks like this Luminous Reaper wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, Hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt them, we'd really appreciate it if you instead could just return them to their original home via the Crossroads, send them off in the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread (warning, you will get another traveler in return if you do this), or if you don’t want another traveler in return, this rest hub. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact Hyzenthlaay and let her know (it’s good for her notes)!

Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it!

Favor's arrival to a clan is an event held in high regard by the many hatchlings which idolize him - strange to most, considering his presence only comes about when someone dies. Favor finds the reaction perfectly natural. As a Luminous Reaper, it is his duty to guide the spirits of the dead to eternal peace, and he does so by hosting vivacious funerals that are more party than mortuary. Yet Favor's specialty sits specifically with hatchlings, many of whom have a difficult time grappling with the concept of death. His peaceful demeanor willingness to entertain endless rounds of children's death-related questions no matter how squeamish they might make adults ("do worms use your body as a nest when you die?" "Will my pet eat my eyeballs if I die alone?"), make him a quick favorite of young dragons. It also helps that he's quite adept at carving, and is more than willing to leave behind small wooden armies of skeletons and knights in his wake for his fan club.

Travel Log:

1/7/2021: Mother and Father encouraged me today to take my talents to the road. They think that they'll have much more use in smaller clans without as many reapers as one such as Mavenlark, which swarms with them. I wonder if they're right?

2/3/2021: Well, I seem to have gotten lost. One moment I was wandering through the Starwood Strand, and the next I was lost in this dark, awful-smelling wasteland! This place is like nothing I've ever seen: thick, pulsing tendrils, dead trees, mushrooms and fungus and bones. Bones everywhere! But there doesn't seem to be any clans living around here, so I'm going to head back to the Starfall Isles. I guess my services are not needed here...

By some stroke of luck, I came across a clan! Or, a "pack," as they insist I call them. The ~~clan~~ pack calls themselves the Infestation , and is made up entirely of Mirrors who...don't seem to like me very much. Tiashtez- the one who welcomed me into the group- insists her pack is just wary. She forces me to walk alongside her as we travel so she can protect me from the others.

I asked Tiashtez about any recent passings for me to celebrate. She told me the pack doesn't have any dead; when a Mirror gets sick or hurt, they just leave them behind! I didn't know what to say, and I still don't know how to feel. I thought of hosting a celebration for these unnamed Mirrors, but I doubt the pack would be fond of parties. Plus, the celebration is meant to cheer dragons up; since the pack didn't seem to be mourning, the souls have likely already left to the afterlife.

Since my talents are not needed, I asked for the pack to guide me out of the wasteland. Once I reach the border, I'll try and find a more...caring clan to cheer up.

3/10/2021: I managed to find myself back to the Starwood Strand, and immediately got lost again. Is this some sort of curse? Anyway, I was trying to find my way around the trees when a mirror with gold plated armor jumped out at me, teeth bared and eyes blazing. Behind him a black guardian with gold, glowing runes was glaring at me coldly. Not taking any risks, I turned and ran the way I came. I left the forest and ran back into the flesh-themed territory. Hopefully there's somebody out there who wants to be kind to me, but I'm not checking in there for a while!

This dragon is a member of the Luminous Reapers subspecies. Offspring they have may be eligible to be registered on the subspecies registry if they meet the gene requirements - check the forum requirements to see!

@Hyzenthlaay here! This dragon is officially a part of the "Around the World in 365 Dergs" challenge. Check out the thread for information and more travelers like this! ...or just read the following:

The general idea is that I am going to create 365 unique traveling dragons, send them off into the world, and see what happens. I'm also going to complete mini-challenges along the way using travelers. If that interests you, consider checking the challenge thread out!
I don't want to overflood the system with just my dragons, so adopting travelers from me to live in your lair is totally fine! In fact, I'm betting on it. Just let me know.
