Uh-oh, looks like this focused geologist wandered a little too far from his home lair (MoonlilyluvsCas, #559581), and now he's off to see the world! Rather than exalt, it would be appreciated if you would return him home, to Dragons Off To See The World, or to the rest hub.

Clan Kaishal
Chan was born with his father's scientific mind but without a passion for the chaos of living organisms. Instead, Chan finds comfort in the methodical antiquity of rocks and minerals. As a hatchling, he quickly learned all about the various gems and stones within Clan Kaishal's territory. Some travelers were even willing to swap stones (and stories) from distant lands, which Chan excitedly noted down in his research journal.

Now, old enough to fend for himself outside of the protective borders of his birth clan, this Bogsneak is setting out with the singular goal of studying and recording every unique geologic specimen he can get his claws on.

Clan Ares
Chan travelled for many days and many nights before stumbling into a ragtag group of other travelers in the Shifting Expanse. They all decided as a group to settle down in a nearby clan for a bit before continuing on. Chan stayed for a few weeks before moving on!

Ti'lo unan Yael'lo
Chan's travels eventually brought him back to Dragonhome, but thankfully not to his birth clan; he was not ready to return home just yet. By coincidence, he ran into Kazuo, and decided to stay with the clan hosting his father. While the clan's most obvious point of interest was its massive garden, Chan was much more interested in the cave system that housed it. The resident architect, Ckrualla, was more than happy to explain to him everything about the caves and the rocks they were made of. After some time, Chan decided he'd learned all he could and resumed his travels.

The Fount of Travelers
Chan visited a beautiful forest lair in the Viridian Labyrinth. He found many natural wonders here and plenty of interesting stones hidden within the garden. He stayed for quite some time, studying all of the different minerals in the soil, and talking to all of the different dragons that came and went. Apparently the Gladekeeper's domain was a great place for a dragon such as he. He almost didn't want to leave! In fact, he decided to make this his new home base, a great place to come back to and rest when he grew tired of his travels.

Hewn City Commune
Chan noted that most of the rocks in the Hewn City were altered by dragons or other sentient beings. There were sculptures and engravings all around him. He had no artistic inclination, and could barely resist picking chunks out of the works in order to study where the stone used might have come from. Much of it was in ruins anyway.

The Fount of Travelers
Chan couldn't stop thinking about his new home, The Fount of Travelers, and all of the pretty rocks and stones there, so he decided to return and rest awhile. It was such a cozy place. Still, he enjoyed adventure, so once more he resumed traveling.

Sunbeam Lanternhouse
Chan returned to the Sunbeam Ruins, this time to a cheerful inn perched on the cliffs above Lanternlea Port. He wasn't expecting to gather much new research, but he was pleasantly surprised; Ila was willing to let him accompany her to her digging sites where she unearthed ores and metals for the clan. It seemed most were destined to be used as artistic materials in the commune, which didn't much interest him, so once he'd organized his notes, he bid his hosts farewell.

The Spectrum
Chan traveled a bit further this time and landed in the Windswept Plateau in a place called The Spectrum. Everyone there was very kind to him, and he became very close with Quetzel, the clan’s gemstone expert, and Essie, an artist, who helped him make clean pictures of his findings in his journal. There was many a day when they all relaxed while he thought about his research. Then he met Nadia, Quetzel’s granddaughter and Essie’s daughter, who he spent a lot of time with while he was there. She was genuinely interested in his works; she thought it was nice seeing things other than her grandsire's gemstone collection for a change. But after a length of R&R, he was ready to get back on the road; there were more specimens to discover and new places to search!

An Unnamed Coastal Village
As Chan walked into the muddy coastal town, he thought the place most likely didn't have much for him. He walked down what he thought was the main street, looking for an inn or anything of the sort, but keeping one eye on the ground, looking for any interesting rocks to take with him to examine later. He spotted a particularly interesting-looking one up ahead, and in his haste to take a closer look, bumped into a striking purple Imperial.

She jumped. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there."

"It's fine, it's my fault, I didn't see you either," he replied. He noted to himself that she seemed battle-torn, moreso than having Gembond would warrant. But that wasn't quite right... her injuries were too precise.

"...Uhm... o-oh!" She broke into his thoughts, probably to get him to stop staring. "Were you after this rock?" She picked it up, inspected it herself, and then presented it to him.

Embarrassed to be caught staring, but relieved that she hadn't taken offense, Chan confirmed, "Yes, actually, I was!"

Despite the initial awkwardness, they talked easily, bonding over their mutual interest in rocks and minerals, though the topic of conversation swung around to where he was from, why he was here, and if he could get a place to stay. She led the way to the inn while continuing to gush about geology and its mysteries. When they arrived, he wished her a goodnight. He could tell that she was disappointed to know he was leaving in the morning; he got the sense that she didn't have anyone to discuss her discoveries with. He felt bad about it, but he wasn't ready to stop traveling.

After he woke, he sought out the innkeeper to discuss the possibility of setting up a way for him to send letters to her. Unfortunately, he never got her name. Fortunately, the innkeeper knows exactly who he's talking about; hard to miss her, he remarks, though she's not the only oddball in the mishmash of dragons in this town. Not quite sure what to make of that comment, but satisfied with making a connection to a fellow geologist, Chan set off to his next destination.

Molten Scar
Chan moved from the calm lapping waves of the Sea of a Thousand Currents to the blistering heat of the Ashfall Waste, where he came across a cluster of Bogsneaks.

"Name and business?" inquired a green and rather slimy male Bogsneak in jade armor, his voice stoic.

Perhaps... he was intruding. Swallowing a nervous gulp, Chan said as calmly as he could, "My name's Chan. I'm a geologist."

His interrogator grunted before nodding his head for him to follow. Apparently this was a warm greeting? When they reached a tower of lava rock housing an abundance of dragons of all sorts, Chan broke the silence. "What is this place?"

"The Molten Inn. Check in with Jabor. He'll get you situated for your stay." And with that, the other Bogsneak left Chan to his own devices. Blinking away his surprise, Chan made his way inside. As soon as he was over the inn's threshold, a buzz of commotion washed over him; nobody inside was still, everyone chattering or flying by. Overwhelmed, he stopped dead.

"Ahem!" A fuzzy brown Nocturne appeared at his elbow. "Are you going to check in or just stand and gawk? Do you have a token?"

"Pardon?" Apparently everyone here was so warm and welcoming.

"A token! A pass. Y'know, so you can stay here."

"I... uh..."

"He's with me, Jabor!" a deep feminine voice called out. Turning, Chan came face-to-face with another Bogsneak in armor. Hers was dark onyx, but he didn't think she needed it; she looked as though she'd been created by the fires of this land, veined as she was with deep oranges like lava. "Isn't that right?" she drawled, snapping him out of his thoughts; he'd been staring.

"Right! That's right!"

She flashed a smile at him, all teeth, before glancing at the fuzzy Nocturne. "We good?"

He grunted in reply and turned away. She laughed before returning her full attention to Chan. "I'm Devereaux, by the way. What brings you to this friendly stretch of wasteland?"

"I'm... I'm here to research rocks and minerals!" he stammered out.

She laughed again. "You're a curious thing, but I'll bite. I know some good areas for that sort of thing below the lava falls."

Sunbeam Lanternhouse
Chan returned to the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, which was something of a relief, to be among actually friendly dragons again. He stayed a short time recovering his equilibrium before setting off once more.

Deasupra

Suprisingly, Chan found himself going to a city within the Gladeveins. Miere was a place he had heard of before but yet when he got there, he found Miere wasn't the whole city. Merely just teh name of the entirely of area there in which the clan of dragons lived.

Not many dragons who knew about rocks worked there, however after meeting a few members of the travelling circus that was currently there, he did note that one of the dragon's parents who resided in the clan, did have a connection to the Earthshaker, similar to himself.

Heliodor was the town's resident geologist, who he took great pride in getting to talk to teh month or so he stayed within the city.

With a few poorly scrawled notes about the jewels hidden somewhere around the area that the Gaoler was able to fine, Chan set off again to see if there was any other place where there might be something new to discover.

Catsy01 Chan Wanders up this unusual lair, everyone here is friendly but after only a day or two chan has decided that he should continue on, he loves it here but feels he should move on after a short rest
