Kal'raza and Khalida are esteemed guard within the Plague clan, Ro'sha'kana. The clan itself is very secretive towards outsiders, with only the outer regions of its territory open to travelers who might need a place to stay or want to exchange goods. In reality, the clan is a cult dedicated to the Plaguemother. Dragons raised within Ro'sha'kana are brought up with the idea that they, along with dragons who are raised in each of the connected cult branches located in each other Flight, are their respective deity's Chosen Children; individuals favored by the divine.
Kal'raza's and Khalida's hatchlings are no different in this respect, and along with these religious views, their parents teach them various aspects of how best to survive--both on their own and with the aid of others. In Ro'sha'kana, survival through unity is their most taught ideal. These hatchlings leave their home clan with a deep understanding of combat, and how to utilize their skills for a variety of potential careers in their adult life.
