Their clan drove itself on the path of its own destruction; every choice they made hinged solely on the council of the prophet. The prophet was young; inexperienced, unsure of the future they had to unravel. There was so much pressure; their clan demanded them to guide them, on and on, taking their words as fact alone and never trying to solve the problems without them.

It became too much; the prophet misjudged, and their clan was all but wiped out.

With only a handful of survivors; the praise and admiration was now all gone, all that remained was blame and anger. They blamed the prophet for failing them; not caring that they had been the ones that had chosen this path. Now resented and hated; the prophet ran. Guilt ate at them; they blamed themselves for the deaths of their clan, still too young and sheltered to understand the burden shouldn't have rested on their shoulders.

They wandered far in search of a new home; their prophecies guided them, though they were wary to trust. Their powers were never to be abused again; they would not make the same mistakes. Still; their reputation spreads throughout the lands… A failed prophet they will forever be.
