Biography

--

Aurumstaz's silvery counterpart Argenstaz appears to have far more extensive body replacements than his blood brother. When his wings move the metal frame squeaks, his front feet make a metallic thud as his walks, the lantern on the end of his tail clatters, and the breath enhancing chest replacement constantly whirrs and buzzes as the energy inside it explodes around the glassy container. Whenever he talks his voice is accompanied by an electronic tone, likely the enhancements affected his vocal cords.

When asked why most of his front half is covered or replaced by electronics Argent is unlikely to reply, his usual response being to give a disappointed huff and turn away. However when gently asked (many times by Sorilgeth), Aurum finally gave in and in oddly hushed tones for him explained in sparse detail it was the accident that brought them together. Some great catastrophic experiment in the Shifting Expanse almost crushed and killed Argent, only the electrifying contact of an exposed cable kept him alive. Aurum had been the first on the scene and raced in to rescue the torn up Argent from the sparking pile of cables the silvery dragon had been under.

Sadly since that day Argent had been unable to keep up with Aurum who looked after him at his lair. He was no longer as fast, agile or flexible as he used to be, and far below Aurums durability. However due to the implants he found he could conduct breath much better than others and ended up using that to power replacements for various body parts. With Argents stoic smarts and Aurums dense strength they ended making a strong team, but since Argent was presumably unable to work to optimum efficiency(plus he wouldnt go near machinery again) he was cast out of the Expanse Alongside Aurum, and they both ended up in this arcane lair.
