 "I would like to be a scholar in whatever I do; a scholar is never finished, he is always seeking and I am always seeking." When the opportunist who stole the three veilspun eggs from the ancient forest made their way swiftly back home, they weren’t as careful as they could have been. One of the small, fragile ovoids was knocked about in the haste to make it out of the area. Zephyrus could have been damaged in much worse ways; the fact that he never grows really isn’t much of a problem for him. While small and physically weak, his mind is incredibly sharp and fast. It takes time to get past the idea that this tiny creature is smarter than most dragons, and he takes advantage of that fact.

With his cohorts in mischief, Charlie and Verity, Zephyrus enjoys planning elaborate cons and tricks against those who have earned - in their view - a karmic comeuppance. He is able to get most of their information easily, since anyone who sees him poking around mostly just thinks about how cute it is that someone let their little one go exploring.
Zephyrus, because of his small size, avoids any physical altercations that the girls get into. But he is waiting at the end to help patch them up and praise them for their prowess. They, in turn, make sure he knows how much they appreciate his ability to mastermind their plans. Closer than nestmates, the trio have vowed to never let anything separate them… ever.
