Shadow Demigod of Illusion
The Shadow Demigod of Illusion is hard to look at.
Literally.
He is more colour than form - he both hurts your eyes and is hard to focus on. His form seems to shift constantly, rippling like water. Your mind cannot comprehend what it is seeing, and the colours seem to strobe and disorient you the longer you try to understand.
But when you blink...
When you blink the bright colours of him leave an after-image on dark eyelids. A ghost of him, not quite as bright. He seems easier to understand in that after-image, and you can finally make out those inky eyes and the way they pour a dark sticky tar like running mascara. No pupils are visible in the solid black of his eyes, but you can tell he's looking at you too.
Circus is not a jester, he's an illusionist. He makes the shadows dance and the air sing for the Trickmurk Circus.
He isn't a clown, he isn't even the ringmaster - he's the special effects and light shows.
He's the magic of a fair with the flair of a firework. He's the reflections in funhouse mirrors and the smoke in the haunted house.
An entertainer seen by thousands, but due to the nature of his magic no one will ever know his face.
