Be careful when picking flowers in Wispwillow Grove; you might find a fairy inside.

Night Court Fairies aren't fully documented yet, due to their size. Although their wings are bioluminescent, these faes are abnormally small staying under 30cm in length, with around 10-15cm being the most common. They use magic and swarm tactics to hunt insects. Despite their size, there have been many incidents where a swarm of thousands of these tiny bug-like dragons have attacked even large breeds such as ridgebacks, although the reason is still unkown. Origin

Their ancestors can be traced back to a time before larger dragons have traveled to the Tangled Woods, when the flora was more luscious and Foxfire Bramble was a solid wall of deadly vines. With their tiny size, the Fairies could slip past that wall and lay their eggs under the protection of the thorns. Other small insectoids have chosen the vines as their homes too, offering plenty of hunt and practice for the growing hatchlings. Although the adults would often venture into the Grove or the Forum in search for food or nesting materials, they never traveled more than a day's worth of distance. Their tiny size meant they didn't stand much of a chance against larger predators. Then, slowly but steadily, larger dragons started traveling to the Tangled Woods.

With larger dragons, came larger problems. Some of the new clans have chosen Foxfire Bramble as their territory, pushing the ancient Fairies out of their home and into Wispwillow Grove. Modern Night Court Fairies have adapted to a life among the bioluminescent life of the dark garden, with their wings giving a faint glow when they interact with one another. These days, they can be found nesting sleeping inside flowers that bloom at night or hunting insects in wisteria trees.

Fairy King

He’s responsible for hatching eggs and organising hoards. Although not as large as a Queen, he’s still larger than regular fairies. His pale colors force him to hide when faced with danger and he will usually support his subjects from afar, rather than join them in the frontlines. Female faes can also be Kings, despite the name.
