ooooHalcyis was found just after the clan's very first Starfall Celebration, alone and glowing a strange color at the peak of the Observatory. He was found whilst Cencha and Dintris were scouting for future territory in the Isles, and they were at first unsure of his condition. Usually, injured dragons are brought straight back to the clan, but due to the extreme nature of his state, they did not want to endanger the rest of their family, and instead stayed with him for a few days while he recovered.

____When he finally stopped writhing and bursting with energy, he informed the two clan leaders what had happened. An experiment, piloted by the leaders of a rogue gang he had joined months earlier, was supposed to harness the remaining residual energy at the Observatory for the group's own purposes. The power was too unpredictable, and the gang scattered, leaving behind the Coatl who was too stunned to move. He was caught in the maelstrom, and an immense shock of energy burst from the jury-rigged contraption they had constructed and into his body. Any internal effects are unknown, but Halcyis is even more pink than ever before, vibrant purple crystals burst from his skin, and the glow remains on his body. His familiar was also transformed, and a strange orb follows him around wherever he goes; he is unsure if it is sentient, but it does seem to be friendly.

____A bit put off from more electrifying aspects of science, Halcyis has chosen the path of an alchemist. He manages the clan's transmutation materials and is in charge of recording the objects that different combinations can produce. Halcyis is fascinated with his Companion Comet, and strives to discover it's origins. As a result, he is getting more adept at alchemy each day. He spends much of his time pacing around his cauldron, which is almost always bubbling away, no matter what time of day it is. Halcyis doesn't follow a regular sleep schedule, choosing to sleep in short bursts that allow him to wake many times to check the contents of his brews.

____Halcyis finds it very difficult to maintain even the most basic of friendships. He tends to worry and wonder if others secretly find him annoying; he feels like a third wheel no matter the size of the group. Fortunately these worries are only his head. In reality, the friends he has made in the clan find his company pleasant, if not a little amusing because of his inclination to question his own quirks frequently. He is on good terms with the rest of the flight ambassadors, especially Clemetti.
