Biography

Leviathan subspecies banner, by FR user WolfandCrow. An Imperial dragon is nearly perfectly camouflaged against the abyss-coloured ocean background, visible only due to its glowing eyes and bright robin peacock markings on its shoulders.

But many don’t venture far below the surface. Down deep below, there are creatures. Guardians of the deep. Creatures that have caused massive ship wrecks and created stories that would make a sailer weary. The Leviathans. They’re serpentine bodies, a dark hue that renders them practically invisible in the abyss. The only warning unsuspecting victims get are the bioluminescent spots along their wings but even that isn’t enough. Their speed and power make them extremely dangerous. They almost never leave the ocean, only occasionally traveling through deep rivers. It is also suspected that some Leviathans may even be certain lake monsters.

Many water clans form alliances with these Leviathans to insure defense for their clan. Other flight dergs who know of the Leviathans would give offerings and work to please the Leviathans for the safety to cross the waters like the water clan’s; usually for peaceful visits within the water domain.

Leviathans to many non-water flight clans are considered as a cryptid only thought of as a mythical beast that is misidentified creature like a shark or sea snake. Leviathans are real and are extremely dangerous. They’re typically peaceful, but they have been known to create massive destruction for the good of the ocean. For the good of the water flight.

They are protective of their reefs...

Calymaer (Cal for short) was an apprentice to Toxinflare, and spy from the cult known as Sornieth's Chosen. He is more reserved and calmer than most Spirals, and he often unnerves his fellow warrior apprentice Xenalia with his cryptic words. He was sent to the Skycloud Clan to collect intelligence and to find out why the clan has stopped sending sacrifices to the Scarred Wasteland. His dark pigmentation (excluding his bright blue accents, of course) and natural flexibility help him to hide in dark niches and gather information from oblivious dragons.

When he was discovered sending messages to his superiors in the Plaguebringer's domain, the illusion of safety and security in the clan turned upside down... again.

Rather than killing the spy where he stood, the High Council recognized his skill in battle and banished him to the bottom of the ocean to fight the Maren residents forever.

Every once in a while, one of the clan members will swim down to collect his trophies for the rest of the clan's use.
