she was made of the rain in storm clouds and the dust that litters the sky. “est caelum.” she said, and repeated it yet again, “est caelum, est caelum. the sky is ready, the air is impure.” amaya’s eyes began to spark like lightning as she soared through the air and made chaotic waves of grey as the dim light in the sky bounced off her. from far away it looked as if she were the grim reaper cutting the sunshine. and she felt that’s what she was indeed. she smiled a wicked grin and flew low just above the ground plummeting down her wings slipped across the sands of the earth just barely touching her. she loved to have such adrenaline rushes and would often put herself in bad situations in order to feel the power that continues to grow inside of her until now when it’s shown in small sparks.

Amaya chuckled as she took to the grey sky, wings flared and eyes crackling in the storm. She flew into a cloud and glanced around, relieved to find nothing but the muted shouts of the guards below. They thought they had her- thought they could shackle her, but she would never allow herself to be pinned down for long. The buffeting sounds of wings could be heard around her and she immediately snapped out of thought. Automatically, she started surveying her situation and sneered. 5...10...15? Did they really think they could stop her with this many dragons? She knew she could end this in a few minutes but she really didn't have time to waste. She was given a chance at freedom and she wasn't letting go of it now. Tucking her wings, she dropped out of the cloud cover and grinned, hearing the confusion of her pursuers above. As she plummeted, she surveyed her destination, the town below bustled with dragons unaware of the chaos above.

Having safely landed, Amaya weaved through the crowd, skillfully grabbing anything she could get her claws on. A dragon passing by jumped, startled by her crackling eyes. Of course, she groaned, her eyes were a dead giveaway. She needed somewhere to hide, somewhere unsuspecting- like that tavern across the street. She made her way into the tavern, floorboards creaking as she walked, and pulled a stolen cloak over her head. She sauntered to the bartender and in the town's dialect (which she had quickly taken up), asked for a beer to pass time until the guards left. She couldn't help herself and let out a cackle- she was already plotting her revenge..
