A shadow dragon producing goop is hardly unusual. What is unusual in Gesiba's case is their goop is highly acidic. Their unfiltered goop can cut straight through stone in a shockingly short amount of time. But when Gesiba tempers it they can use the goop to carve gemstones in minute detail. By diluting it even further, Gesiba gets a polish on gems so bright and clear that even the most mundane stone looks dazzling. They also have a wide variety of non-goop-related tools and mixtures that they can use as well.

Gesiba understands the value of certain gems but that doesn't stop them from giving away precious, high-quality stones whenever the mood takes them, something which drives Miraz and Aomier batty. They're also not interested in manufacturing their goop for a wider clientele. This is more understandable as Gesiba can only produce so much at a time.

Gesiba has always been rather unlucky in love, though not for a lack of trying. In desperation they have enlisted Lusyri's help to find them their soulmate. So far, nothing has born fruit. Lusyri promises it'll be "any day now." Gesiba desperately hopes she's right.
