I've lived by the sword my whole life. Never knowing anything different. Raised in a mercenary lair there wasnt much else. Eventually I split from there but could never lay down the sword.

Getting to choose my own contracts was my main reason for leaving and I don't regret it. I make a meger living on my own. My lair may be small but it is all I need.

Awhile back I noticed a pearl catcher in the area. He seems so soft and content. I've thought about speaking to him the few times I've seen him gathering. I never could bring myself to do it though. His joy in life and care free attitude are completely foreign to me.

Everything changed when he found that hatchling. Not right away of course. He was happier at first, which I didn't think was possible. They were practically inseparable. Saudade I think he called her.

Suddenly they disappeared. Week's went by before I saw him again. There was a horrible rage in his eyes. The little one no where to be seen. He seemed to be trying to get stronger to no avail. I never did ask what happened.

I offered to help him..... and fell in love.

It was stupid I know. The more time I got to spend with him the harder I fell. Even with the anger in his heart there was just something about him that put me at ease.

When he finally reached the level he wanted and was going to leave I couldn't resist. I asked for one night.... just one. Then I could move on from this.

I should have known better.......

5 5 eggs! I don't even know the first steps of being a mother! I was raised by a mercenary guild for Plaguebringers sake!

Sigh nothing to be done about it now. I will learn the same way I learned to fight I guess. Thrown into the fray and hope we all make it out.

It's been tough since they hatched. Fray ,my only boy, is quite crafty. I would call him a rogue if he didn't have an affinity for healing. Pyre also has developed some healing abilities. I find this to be unexpected. It makes me wonder if he would have... never mind better not dwell on the past.

Naria and Raza both show that old fire! They will be mighty warriors some day. Leyla is strange one, never seen anyone so obsessed with food.
