Thanatos

Before his arrival he had no name, he barely spoke and had no intentions on showing any emotions whatsoever.

However, as time went by, he found himself comfortable around the clan and thus he finally got a name
"Thanatos."
Ali said beneath her helmet.
"Your name is Thanatos and you will work for me. I will make sure you get your place in the clan secured."

Is not like he had any other choice, she cared for him ever since his arrival so the least he could do is lend a claw.

Thanatos used to be a jail guardian from the ice lands. He worked side by side with the risen galores and he was pretty good at it. He made sure no one from his faction could scape and if anyone ever dared well, big mistake.

However, its been like this since he was a child. He hardly remembers anything from his parents or how he got lost.
It wasn't something shocking to know that his adoptive parents were not his true mom and dad considering how different they looked but... something still didn't make sense

it was the constant questioning of "why how when who" that haunted him every night

Somehow one day the prisioners got freed by a traitor ending in a merciless bloody battle which ended with a lot of the guardians lives except his.

After always being manipulated by all the galores into sillence and obedience, he searched against the will of the higher ups about his past and his clan. The days went by and so months had passed and years and eventually he gave up.
But the nightmares would never end until one day he once dreamt with a galore, a galore shattering everything he saw, fire, blood, screams of pain...

In one of his many usual daily patrols Thanatos went by an old "friend", a dragon who had been in jail for many years, he was there when thanatos was just a hatchling.
"You seem tired, is not normal."
the dragon spoke with a grin on his face
"did you finally get it?"
Thanatos stopped infront of them. He turned his head slowly facing the imprisoned.

"ah, you are close. IT SURE TOOK YOU A WHILE HUH"
he shouted as he got closer to the dark steel bars.
"Just face it, admit it. You've always known the truth."
Thanatos grabbed the tundra's head with his steel claw, their eyes locked. Thanatos was filled with rage and the tundra was no fool knowing he had made a mistake
"alright buddy hey h-hey it was a mistake, a mistake, listen you can forgive and ol pal right right please please, p-please let me go"

The tundra was pushed away, he had some small cuts but nothing too serious or important, Thanatos keep walking

That night he was unable to sleep, his thoughts were driving him insane.
It appears that he wasn't the only one awake, as he went to get something to drink he saw some lights on coming from the room of his adoptive parents.
His heart was beating fast and he could feel his breathing getting shorter and heavier. His claws were shaking

"what are you doing awake"
A deep husky raspy voice came from behind the wildclaw
"can't sleep huh? makes two of us."

Thanatos was invited by the galore to sit with him as they enjoyed some left overs plus something to drink. The night went by rather slow, it felt mostly like a dream, no one else was around it was only the two of them sitting, eating, drinking and talking.

"Is. is that really whats going on."
Thanatos nodded a bit embarrassed by the question
"You do know that we have one crucial rule where we can not jail.. hatchlings, right?"
Thanatos was confused, of course he knew that. A lot of his crewmembers were hatchlings or young dragons sent to jail for crimes they supposedly commited but instead of being prisoners they serve for the jail in exchange... wait

"Listen. It was you. you were the killed all along."
Thanatos bolted out of his seat walking far from the galore
"Do as you please but you can't deny the truth. You killed your family" the galore didn't bother to look at the running wildclaw, he kept drinking while waiting for the night to end.

The lies of the galore were too much to digest. He knew it, his family was targetted and they won't even bother to say why.
It couldn't be
there is no reason for him to do such a thing, why? how? he wasn't that strong as a child, he didn't have any reasons

He felt as if his world was collapsing, the ground that once held him up high was now slowly consuming him, dragging thanatos deep down into the shade (or hell? eh draogn hell.:? ¿adgad)

He had enough, his life was being stolen, he was nothing but another tool of the jailers to enforce rules which he didn't even agree on.
Filled with rage he set free the prisioners which lead to an endless fight of 3 days.

At the final night, he himself, killed the galore which once had the guts to call him a killer
"Guess you weren't wrong after all. I did kill my entire family"
He slit the throat of the galore leaving dead cold on the snow.





aaaaaaaaand i ran out of brain juiceeee :))
basically he was called out on something he swears he didnt do which.. is true.
the galores killed his family because his clan used to be home of fugitives
and so he was rescued to be part of the jailers
(the clan wasn't too big and children/young dragons weren't common. any other sibling is somewhere in another different part of the world unknown to him)
he killed them all (or so he thinks) free as many `prisioners as possible and has no clue where his pal tundra is
