huntress of the icefields | decisive, lonely, fearless

SpringLeap was born of the Fringe, trained from birth as a hunter to contest the ancient evils of the Deepwoods. Duty was in her blood... though she knew her father no better than any other. He was a cryptic being, a powerful and silent dragon whose face was forever disguised with a great bird's skull, but she always endeavored to impress him — particularly after her older brother was felled by a beast and killed. It was as though all responsibility was suddenly upon her shoulders. SpringLeap's fervor to defend Cyboral and avenge her brother drove her deeper and deeper into the Deepwoods, ultimately losing herself in the wisps of magic that the gods left behind. She was reborn among their footsteps in the Icefields of a foreign world with only sentient magic inhabiting the bones of a hound as her guide. SpringLeap has embraced these new lands and views this as her quest: to entreat the gods to return to her home of Cyboral. Though even as she searches for a way to speak to them, her sense of duty cannot completely stave off the pure loneliness she has felt for the first time in her life, and the guilt that her family must think their second child is also lost forever.
