______ The Aunt of Shiva, Bast was powerful indeed, and has used her extensive divination magic to feed and become crowned. Preying upon other dragons' superstition, she will twist the fortunes of others. She has no qualms manipulating the fates of others to her own ends, and to their own destruction. The strings of fate can be manipulated, she is just the weaver.

______ "Hmm this is very interesting, very interesting indeed."

Bast hummed as the client sat across from her. An arrogant Mirror warlord was watching her impatiently.

"What is so interesting witch, I am not a patient dragon."

He snarled at her, and Bast looked up with a serene smile, even if inside she was seething. How dare he disrespect her.

"I see a great battle in your future, one that will secure you a spot in the history books. Victory is nearly assured."

This made the scarred mirror rumble in excitement. She knew she had him Hook, line and sinker.

"Good. Here is your payment witch."

He tossed a bag of gold and she pretended that she was humbly accepting whatever he felt was fair. And then he and his guards left. Bast smirked viciously once they were gone, time to get to work.

A week later found her devouring the remains of the arrogant warlord, and all it had taken was a little bit of editing of the weave of fate. The sudden crunch of footsteps on brittle bones let her know she had a visitor.

"Ah my dear nephew and law. How are you fairing?"

Fachnan grunted and sat next to her.

"She asks for your presence."

Bast swallowed the last of her meal, and stood.

"Let's not keep my niece waiting."

And with that they stalked off, headed for home.
