Biography

A meeting with Plevier

After scouring the outskirts of the clan, you decide to start making your way to the central, more densely populated areas. Whilst you walk, humming a simple tune to yourself, you find your eyes drawn to a small, cosy-looking home surrounded by much larger houses. It doesn't appear to be anything special on first sight, but there's something about it that makes you want to stop and knock on the painted wooden door.

Without really noticing it, you seem to have walked up to the quaint abode. Before you can really think about whether you should stay or move on, you see the door open up, making a creaking sound as it does. A bespectacled face appears from behind it, looking around for a bit before smiling and walking through the door. "Well dear, what are you standing outside for, in this weather no less? You must be freezing. Why don't you come on, and we can talk over some tea?" the Snapper before you says in a deep, gentle voice. He almost reminds you of a caring grandfather. Huh.

He smiles one last time, beckoning for you to come inside. You follow him in before realising you never got to ask his name. You tell him as such, and he smiles once again (he smiles a lot, you note in the back of your mind.) before telling you: "It's Plevier, dear. I just moved here recently, so it's no surprise that you do not recognise me. That being said, while I am sure I have not met everyone here yet, you do not strike me as familiar. Are you from elsewhere as well?" You simply nod, taking in the scene around you. Plevier's abode appears just as cosy from the inside as the outside might suggest. The walls are painted a dull purple and are decorated with brightly-coloured, hand-painted roses. Wooden shelves, clearly handmade from the looks of it, are scattered all across the walls and chock-full of various wooden figurines and picture frames.

You look down to see the painted roses from the wall tangling across the dark wooden floor, their stems interrupted by the simple yet fitting furniture pieces filling up much of the available space in the already small room, yet it doesn't feel cramped. You continue looking around in thinly-veiled wonder until Plevier gives you a gentle nudge, snapping you out of your thoughts. He gestures to a set of comfortable-looking chairs and the two of you sit down. As you take your time settling down on your pillowed seat, he clears his throat and starts speaking. "So, is there anything you'd wish to know about me, or do you want to talk a bit about yourself first?"


(plevieren aka plovers are these little birds! they don't have too much to do with the dragon i just like the name)
