Uh-oh, looks like this runic noodle travelled a little too far from her home lair, (TsuTsu8642, #494106) and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to her home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Biography:
Hello, stranger. My name is Xylia. I am a daughter of Rake and Waterpaw. I was born in a land of roaming winds. From the very beginning, my body was covered with glowing symbols – undoubtedly a gift from Waterpaw, my loving mother. My brothers and sisters that were born before me no longer roam this world, and so I have become the oldest. I left my birth place to find out what I could become. My first stop was a deep forest, where the weather was so chaotic and intensely hot that it could set trees on fire. There I found my friend and teacher Wood Ear Deer, by the name of Dear Wood Ear.
Her First Familiar: a Wood Ear Deer named Dear Wood Ear.
This mysterious creature taught me the meaning of my given name -- woodland or wood-dweller. So, it was no accident that my travels brought me to this strange forest. I spend many days with my new friend and he showed me the way of fire and nature. Trees in this this forest had lava instead of resin. I took care of them, listened to their stories. My breath became much warmer and my words became understandable to the leaves and grass around me. My skin changed to green and hot, and mysterious fires started surrounding me. One day my friend Dear Wood Ear came to me said: “Thank you, Xylia, with your help I am awakened now and you have learned a lot, so the time has come for you to travel further. This forest was your home, but now you need to find a new one”. And so, I left…

AmethystSeaWing: As I continued to travel, I got word from a clan in the Tangled Wood that they had some room and would be willing to take me in for a while. I accepted and traveled there, staying quite a while and becoming good friends with the inhabitants. Eventually, I said my goodbyes and left in search of another place to stay. Sadly, me and my deer friend got separated on the journey here, but the clan has graciously provided me with a new familiar, a very friendly Cloud Nymph that I haven't picked a name for yet. Who knows, maybe I'll get a good suggestion from someone at my next stop! |
MoonlilyluvsCas: The perfect place for me to go next was the Gladekeeper's domain, right? I went to the Fount of Travelers, which was filled with trees and flowers and so much life! I stayed there for quite some time, talking with all of the trees and plants for hours. The dragons that visited there were interesting too, but the flowers really liked to chat. They told her stories about dragons that were scientists, divas, thieves, spies, and other neat dragons.
It was a restful time, and Xylia enjoyed it. She bonded with her new friend -- the Cloud Nymph -- until she was loyal, and cuddled with her frog friend. Some of the other traveling dragons looked at her weirdly, but she didn't care. Axolotl, the Caretaker of the Fount of Travelers never looked at her weirdly. And in fact, when she started to hear others whispering about her, gossiping about her with one another, Axolotl took them aside and gave them a stern talking to. It was kind, but she felt like she needed to go on to the next clan after that.
Volrin: It was at some point between my visit to that Nature clan and my arrival at the Sunbeam Ruins that my loyal Cloud Nymph friend... well... she simply vanished! Her disappearance became known to me somewhere around the Hewn City, and when I looked behind myself to check on her, I found only a mischievous little Aer Phantom in her place! Did this whispy trickster lead her astray somehow? I guess I'll bring him along on my travels, at least for the time being; he might have some clue as to where I can find my cloudy friend. I myself have not a clue as to where she could have wandered off to, and I've barely been able to restrain from tying myself in anxious knots worrying for her safety.
I must say, I've had some terrible luck with being separated from my familiars as of late. I sincerely hope it isn't something I'm doing to drive them away? How worrisome...
(Xylia came to me in a Crossroads trade paired up with an Aer Phantom instead of a Cloud Nymph. Her familiar must have been mixed up with another at some point, sorry!)
