Skkylar is an earth dragon. Earth dragons are landbound dragons with a long body and whiskers that love to live underground. They have huge paws to dig holes and tunnels and sharp eyes to see in the dark. Although Skkylar hates the sky he was named after it for his mother liked to be outside of the caves, he himself lives underground since his teens.
For many years he had been part of the dragon council but his curious nature kept him open-minded towards demons and mankind which led to controversial opinions with the eldest. Skkylar left the council and started a life in solitude.

Even though he seldom has visitors, Skkylar enjoys having someone to talk to, no matter if they are dragons, demons or humans.
Shannen found Skkylar after she ran away from her home and asked him if he could teach her magic. Being able to use earth-typed magic himself and pleasently surprised by the young nymph's will to learn, he taught her magic for some years. Shannen left him some years later and began to work for the holy council but continued to visit Skkylar when she needed advise or just someone who listened to her.
Skkylar is always proud to watch his young pupil's growth and likes to hear stories from the world above.
